By Customer Demand, Power Plant Equipment Now Producing Steam Accumulators

Power Plant Equipment helped one client meet their needs by producing a steam accumulator and has since found a demand that led to adding the accumulators to their core line of products. The customer, based out of Hawaii, contacted Power Plant Equipment about their need for instantaneous, short periods of steam which their present boiler could not maintain, due to inconsistent loads, so PPE produced a steam accumulator to the customer's specifications and had it shipped in 5 weeks.
Since producing the steam accumulator for the customer in Hawaii, Power Plant Equipment has found a growing demand for products like it in various industries. They have since added the steam accumulator to their core group of products, making various sizes and specifications based on the customer's needs.
" Our customer came to us with a request for a steam accumulator to satisfy inconsistent steam loads in his manufacturing process. At PPE, we always strive to satisfy our customers. What started out as a one-time order has turned into steam accumulators becoming a part of our core product line. We have shipped products across the country as well as Central & South America, Canada, Asia, and the Middle East," said Al Wasinger, President of Power Plant Equipment.
Steam accumulators are insulated steel pressure vessels in which water is heated by steam during off-peak demand periods and regenerated as steam when needed. They now join the variety of boiler room products produced by Power Plant Equipment, including deaerators, boiler feed systems and blowdown equipment.
Power Plant Equipment, based in Lenexa, Kansas, manufactures the brand name "Blue Valley" boiler room products. The Blue Valley brand has been used worldwide since 1976.
